About Computer Motherboards
ASUS, MSI and ASRock motherboards for Intel and AMD processors, from budget micro-ATX boards to feature-rich ATX boards for gaming and workstation builds.
- Socket. The board must match your processor: AMD AM4 or AM5, or Intel LGA 1700 or LGA 1851.
- Chipset. The chipset decides features such as overclocking support, the number of fast M.2 slots and USB ports.
- Form factor. Mini-ITX, micro-ATX and ATX boards need a case that supports that size.
- Memory. Boards take either DDR4 or DDR5, never both, so buy memory to match.
- Connectivity. Check for built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth if you need them, as not every board includes them.
