Refund policy

Vorax Technologies (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2025/494434/07), trading as Vorax

This policy applies to all purchases made through vorax.co.za and is issued by Vorax Technologies (Pty) Ltd. It complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA). Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.


Your 7-Day Right to Return (Change of Mind)

In terms of Section 44 of ECTA, you may return a non-defective product within 7 calendar days of delivery for a full refund.

Refund Coverage

  • Full refund of the product purchase price
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable

Return Cost

  • R150 return shipping fee applies for change-of-mind returns

Return Conditions

  • Product must be unused and in original packaging
  • All accessories, manuals, and bundled items must be included
  • Product must be in resalable condition
  • Software and consumables must be unopened

How to Return a Product

  2. Provide your order number and reason for return
  3. We will issue return instructions and arrange for our courier to collect the product from you
  4. Refunds are processed within 7 business days after inspection and approval

Vorax manages the entire return and refund process and remains your point of contact throughout.


Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product, the original item is processed as a return and a new order is placed for the replacement item.

Exchange Costs

  • Change of mind:
    • R150 return shipping
    • Standard delivery fee applies to the replacement
  • Defective item or order error:
    • Vorax covers all shipping costs

Refund Method

If a Return Is Rejected

  • Provide consent for the item to be disposed of

Warranty & Defective Products

All products sold by Vorax are genuine and carry a minimum 6-month warranty in terms of the CPA. Some products include extended manufacturer warranties.

Dead on Arrival (DOA)

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
  • You may choose a replacement or full refund
  • All shipping costs are covered by Vorax

Warranty Claims Process

  1. Contact Vorax with your order number and fault description
  2. Supporting photos or videos may be requested
  3. Return the product as instructed (shipping covered for approved claims)
  4. Inspection completed within 3–5 business days

Your Options if a Defect Is Confirmed

  • Repair
  • Replacement (same or equivalent product)
  • Full refund including original delivery charges

Warranty Exclusions

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidental damage or liquid exposure
  • Misuse or failure to follow manufacturer instructions
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
  • Malware or virus damage (unless pre-installed software was defective)

Non-Returnable Items

  • Perishable goods
  • Custom or personalised items
  • Opened hygiene products (e.g. earphones)
  • Fully performed services with prior consent
  • Downloaded digital content or software
  • Products used beyond reasonable inspection

Legal Compliance

  • Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008
  • Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002

Your statutory rights under South African law prevail in the event of any conflict.
