Our origin
Named for an appetite for technology
Vorax is a South African online technology retailer, selling computing, gaming, displays, peripherals and software to customers and small businesses across the country.
We picked the name because it describes the people we build for: those who are always looking for the next upgrade, the better spec, the smarter setup. Our job is to make getting that technology simple, fairly priced and honest from start to finish.
That last part matters most to us. Lots of stores sell the same products. We want to be the one you don't have to second-guess.
How we operate
Follow your order, step by step
We're an online-only retailer working with established South African distributors. Here's exactly what happens after you click "Pay", and who's looking after you at each stage.
Step 01
You're buying from Vorax, and nobody else
Every product on this site is sold by Vorax Technologies (Pty) Ltd. Your invoice, your order confirmation and your customer relationship are all with us. Prices and stock are updated daily from our distributors, so what you see reflects what's available to order.
Step 02
Your payment is handled by the experts
Card, instant EFT and pay-later options are processed by established payment providers, including Stitch and Payfast. Your card details go to them, not to us. You can also pay by bank deposit straight into the Vorax business account.
Step 03
We order from an established South African distributor
Once your payment reflects, we place your order with one of our distribution partners. They're large, established South African technology distributors that supply retailers across the country. Products are new, sourced through official local channels and covered by the manufacturer's warranty where one applies.
Step 04
Shipped straight from the warehouse to you
Your order is dispatched directly from the distributor's South African warehouse with a tracked courier, so it doesn't pass through extra hands on the way. You'll get the courier name and tracking number by email or WhatsApp. Delivery takes 2–5 working days and is free on orders of R2,500 or more; below that it's a flat R150.
Step 05
After delivery, you still deal with us
Returns, refunds and warranty claims all come back to Vorax. You won't be sent off to chase a supplier. You can return a non-defective item within 7 days of delivery under ECTA, and we cover shipping on defective products. Our Return & Refund Policy has the full terms.
Notice the pattern? Partners help us stock and move your order, but at every step the name you deal with is Vorax. Our fulfilment model never changes who you're buying from or who's accountable.

Why there's no shop counter
Online-only, on purpose
Vorax doesn't run a showroom or a walk-in store. Instead of keeping every product on our own shelves, we work with established South African distributors who hold the stock in their warehouses and ship it straight to you.
That lets us offer a far wider range than a single shop could, without the overheads of retail premises, which helps keep our prices competitive. It also means fewer stops between the warehouse and your door.
Our registered business address is published on our Contact page and in our policies, as it should be. It's our office, not a collection point, and every order ships by tracked courier.

100% of orders delivered within our 2–5 business day promise
Business days from payment to delivery on every order in the last 90 days, weekends and public holidays excluded. Orders not delivered within 5 business days count as late. Updated daily, last on 31 October.

Card and pay-later payments are processed by these providers on their own secure systems. Bank deposits go directly into the Vorax Technologies business account.
Everything we sell is new and sourced through established South African distributors. Products carry the manufacturer's warranty where one applies, and at least the six-month warranty the Consumer Protection Act guarantees. Claims go through Vorax.
We ask every customer for a review after delivery, so verified reviews will start appearing on product pages as orders are delivered.
